It’s Not To Regret

It’s not to regret,
It’s but to be happy
At what we do get.

It’s not to depress,
It’s but to be patient
And please to express.

It’s not to lose hope,
It’s but to be optimist
Even at the torn rope.

It’s not boast or expose,
It’s but to be fully benign
And show a polite pose.

It’s not to count to live,
It’s but to live to count
To start afresh and believe.

It’s not to curse the time,
It’s but to utilize superb
And to live lofty, sublime.

It’s not to waste nor destroy,
It’s but to give and earn
And win by sacrificing joy.

It’s not to think of ‘I’ alone,
It’s but to be ‘we’ together
And to sing a selfless tone.

It’s not to be sad at all,
It’s but to be happy with
What we do have in all.

It’s not to keep and hide,
It’s but to share the joys
And forget hatred and pride.
